Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, in collaboration with the Kalsel Provincial Government and the Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah (BAPPEDA), has established the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Center ULM as a more effective means of implementing long-term development. The SDGs Center ULM event took place on Wednesday (1\/11\/2023) at the Rattan Inn Hotel in Banjarmasin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was hosted by Rektor Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si., Kepala Bappeda Kalsel Ariadi Noor, and Asisten I Bidang Pemerintahan dan Kesra Setdaprov Kalsel Fajar Nurul Desira as guests of Governor Kalimantan Selatan H. Sahbirin Noor. This event is also attended by approximately 200 people from various organizations such as the government, parliament, academies, NGOs, and the media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si., expressed gratitude to Pemprov Kalsel for his contribution to the development of the ULM SDGs Center. With the presence of an SDGs Center, ULM, as a PTN in Kalimantan Selatan, is expected to make a significant contribution and to have a strategy for carrying out sustainable development that can be implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a critical dynamic and strategic approach to assisting citizens in achieving high-quality development”, according to the Chancellors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, he also stated that ULM will have many job opportunities if it becomes the strategic partner of Geopark Kalimantan. He further clarified that the focus on SDGs is not limited to physical development, but also includes non-physical development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the focuses of the SDGs are sustainable development, creating a positive impact on society, and uplifting the overall welfare of the community. The Rector of ULM also invited other universities in South Kalimantan to participate in the SDGs Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant I for Government and Social Welfare at the Kalsel Provincial Secretariat, Nurul Fajar Desira, also conveyed that through this SDGs Center, coordination, synergy, and the strengthening of commitments among stakeholders and academics can be enhanced to benefit everyone and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Launching the SDGs Centers ULM serves as a platform for the government, parliament, philanthropy, business actors, community organizations, media, academics, and experts to contribute constructively to the acceleration of development achievements,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also conveyed that Paman Birin hopes the SDGs Center will become a center for research and studies to provide input to the local government in the form of data, evidence, or research that will later be used for sustainable development in Kalsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hopefully, these SDGs can help the government accelerate development in Indonesia by 2030,” he said.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
